Poconos Airbnb elopement

August 28, 2023

Olivia and Jason planned the perfect Poconos Airbnb elopement. The two of them live in the Pacific Northwest, but wanted to make sure that they included their immediate families in their wedding day. In particular Olivia’s Nan, who turned 96 the day after. They decided to have their wedding at an Airbnb back in Pennsylvania to ensure Nan could be included in their celebration.

Poconos Airbnb

Olivia and Jason rented an Airbnb on a 125-acre plot of land just outside of Ricketts Glen. It had a big farm house for everyone to get ready in, and a pond which made for the most wonderful backdrop for their intimate ceremony . It also had acres of lush woods with a stream running through it, and an old stone bridge.

First looks

The bride got ready with some close friends and her sisters. She wore a stunning A-line dress with a shear bodice. She looked gorgeous! Once she was ready, we set her dad up outside so that they could have a moment together when he saw her for the first time. It was so sweet. Then we moved on to the first look with Jason. Jason was wearing a custom maroon suit, with a felted mouse pocket square (which was literally the cutest wedding detail I have ever seen) As Olivia walked towards Jason, you could see her sisters peaking from around the corner to get a glimpse of the first look.

An Intimate Ceremony in Nature

The bride and groom chose a spot in front of the pond at the Airbnb to hold their intimate ceremony. They wanted Nan to have a special roll in the ceremony, so she got to walk Olivia the final portion of the aisle towards Jason. It was such a special moment (I love the love between grandparents and grandchildren. It melts my heart every time)

Portraits in the Pocono woodlands

One of the main reasons the couple chose this Airbnb was the woodlands. There were so many lush spots to explore. We followed a trail down to a stream with the most beautiful old stone bridge. Because it was such an intimate wedding, the couple had plenty of time to enjoy the nature surrounding them.

Party under a tent at the Airbnb

The couple really wanted their reception to feel like a fun and relaxed party for their families, and especially the guest of honor, Nan. They changed into more casual attire, and celebrated with drinks, bbq, and some lawn games.
