When I found out that Marriah and Maddie met while working for an urban forestry non-profit, I knew we would be a great fit. Their vision, was to have a small wedding, with a fairly casual vibe. They also wanted to do a camping engagement session, which you can see here, and had a plan to plant a tree together at their venue, the Tussey Mountain Lodge
The couple had a beautiful ceremony on the patio, officiated by Maddie’s brother. There was not a dry eye in the place. They laughed, they cried, and then they shared an epic first kiss, where Marriah actually lifted Maddie with excitement.
Maddie and Marriah wanted a casual vibe, but they also wanted to have a real celebration with all of their loved ones. Their reception was a reflection of both of these things. It was relaxed, but it was also filled with emotion and love, and a full dance floor.
The morning after the wedding, we met up at sunrise, and the couple planted a tree in honor of their marriage, and their deep connection with nature. It was the sweetest moment, and a perfect end to their celebration
“Aimee is truly the best! She worked with us to put together a plan for our wedding photography that fit exactly what we envisioned. From an engagement session at a campsite to a tree planting the morning after the wedding, Aimee helped us check off every wish list item we hoped for. As an LGBTQ+ couple, we felt very accepted and welcomed by Aimee. She was very responsive and communicative throughout the process. And the photos were perfect! We highly recommend hiring Aimee”
