Your wedding day doesn’t have to fit inside one box.
You can have private vows at sunrise and a dinner party with your favorite people at sunset. You can go hiking, grab coffee, kayak, cut a cake, or eat tacos by the campfire. One day or two, whatever feels right to you.
A nontraditional wedding means building a day (or weekend!) around what actually matters: time together, real connection, and moments you’ll want to relive forever.
Most of the couples I work with want the same kind of experience: a wedding day that feels relaxed, fun, meaningful, and completely true to who they are. If the ideas below resonate with you, you're probably in the right place.
• You want a wedding day that feels relaxed and intentional
• You love being outside and exploring beautiful places
• You want time built into the day to actually enjoy it
• You care more about real moments than stiff posing
• You want a mix of adventure and meaningful time with your favorite people
• You want a photographer who feels more like a supportive teammate
My approach is relaxed and easygoing, which helps things feel comfortable pretty quickly. Most couples start the day a little nervous about being in front of the camera, but that usually fades fast. Before long it feels less like being photographed and more like spending time together, which is when the most genuine moments happen.
From the moment we start planning, I’m here to help things feel easy. I’ll share location ideas, help shape a relaxed timeline, and make sure your day has space to breathe.
On the day itself, my approach is simple. I document the real moments as they naturally unfold so you can focus on being present with each other. If you ever need a little guidance, I’m happy to step in and help.
"From the very first conversation, Aimee felt less like a vendor and more like a longtime friend. "

The hour we spent zooming around dirt roads (with Aimee at the wheel!) looking for the perfect mountain shot before the ceremony is one of my favorite memories of our whole wedding. Plus, the photos turned out better than I could have imagined! Can we do it all again?”
She flew all the way here and was game for a wild west adventure.
Her smile and laugh will make you smile and laugh. Her adventurous and down-to-earth spirit will make you feel comfortable and relaxed, even on the most chaotic day. I met Aimee in Pennsylvania, but I live in Colorado with my husband now. When it came time to choose a photographer for our wedding, I couldn’t even imagine having anyone besides Aimee there for the ride.
“If you're wondering whether you should even get married, the chance to work with Aimee is reason enough to say yes.”

After we wrap up your incredible day, I know you can’t wait to see your photos! That’s why I send my couples a few images from their wedding within 48 hours for you to enjoy.
Flexible, but with a plan. I consider myself to be a flexible person, but I like to have a plan for your wedding day. That means I like to scout ahead of time and have an idea of what locations we want to hit and when, but I am also happy to pivot if we see something even more amazing along the way.
I will help you create a wedding day timeline to ensure your day is fun and stress-free. By planning and preparing for any unforeseen circumstances, I can make sure you get to live in the moment and take in all of the magic of your elopement day.
Over the years, I have acquired a set of wedding day tools to help in any situation. I am your cheerleader, dress fluffer, and boutonniere pinner. I can tie a tie, sew on a button, and help put on a veil. I am a friend who wants to help in any way I can to make your day perfect.
Planning your wedding day can be overwhelming. I try to do my part to make everything as easy as possible throughout the process, like helping with permits, creating timelines, and choosing the perfect locations and activities.
One of my strengths as a photographer is anticipating and documenting moments as they happen. I want your photos to represent the way the day felt, and to capture both the big moments and small sweet gestures
These photos are yours to enjoy forever with your friends and family, so you will receive a hi-res gallery of edited photos to view, download, and print.
Travel is included in all my packages, so it’s one less thing you have to worry about.
I’m easygoing, love to laugh (and make others laugh), and care deeply about my couples. I have a way of seamlessly blending into a wedding day that makes you comfortable and allows me to photograph you being you without feeling like you have a third wheel attached. I always tell couples we will become fast friends.

As an LGBTQ+ couple, we felt very accepted and welcomed by Aimee. She was very responsive and communicative throughout the process. And the photos were perfect! We highly recommend hiring Aimee.”
From an engagement session at a campsite to a tree planting the morning after the wedding, Aimee helped us check off every wish list item we hoped for.

How far in advance should we book?
You don’t need to have every detail figured out yet, but once you know you want to elope (or throw a nontraditional wedding!), reaching out early gives us the most flexibility with dates and locations. That said, I sometimes have last-minute availability — so if your plans are coming together fast, still reach out!
Will you help us with planning?
Yes! I’m more than just a photographer. I help with everything from location suggestions and timeline planning to permits and activity ideas. I also send all my couples a planning portal full of resources and recommendations. You’re not in this alone.
Do you travel?
Yep! Travel is already included in my pricing for Pennsylvania, Shenandoah, and Moab — and I’m always up for a new adventure elsewhere. Just let me know where you're dreaming of and I’ll make it happen.
What if we want to include family?
Absolutely. Eloping doesn’t mean running away and hiding. It just means creating a day that actually feels like you. That might mean just the two of you… or it might mean hiking with your parents or having a picnic with 20 friends. I’m here for all of it.
Can we split coverage across two days?
Definitely. A two-day elopement is a great way to mix a private, adventurous day with a more traditional celebration. You can hike one day and have a family dinner the next — or any combo that feels right to you.
How many photos do we get?
I don’t cap the number of images I deliver — you’ll get all the good stuff. I focus on real, candid moments, so expect a gallery that tells the full story of your day.
We’re awkward in front of the camera — help!
You're not alone! Most couples say this, and then end up having the best time. I’ll guide you when you need it, but mostly I focus on documenting things naturally as they unfold. No stiff posing. No weird prom hands. Just you two being yourselves.
How do we book you?
Head to the contact page and send me a message! I’ll respond with more info and next steps — and we can hop on a call to dream up your day together.
Do you only photograph elopements?
Elopements are my sweet spot, especially ones that blend adventure with a celebration, but I also photograph small weddings, backyard weddings, and anything that’s intentional and personal to you. If you're not sure your day “counts” as an elopement or intimate wedding, it probably does!
