A wedding style shoot inspired by Mexican Traditions
Historic Ashland, Wrightsville, PA
I was so lucky to be able to participate in another Cultured Workshop. This Workshop series is so special. Not only is there a beautiful style shoot, there is also a time set aside to learn about the customs and traditions of anther culture. This Workshop focused on a Mexican Wedding Ceremony, and all of the details that surround the celebration. We learned about the Lasso used during ceremonies to symbolize unity, The arrars, a set of 13 gold coins, that are presented to the bride as a symbol of the groom’s trust in her, and some of the traditional dances that occur at the never-ending reception.
As a wedding photographer, it is so important to learn these traditions. By understanding them, it can allow you to anticipate moments, and to be in the right place to capture the perfect photograph. I am so thankful To Timbrel for coordinating these workshops, and I cannot wait to attend the next one!
