Shenandoah National Park Engagement Photos
Gabrielle and Cody chose Shenandoah National Park as the location for their engagement Photos. Not only is there an incredible view at every overlook, it was also the location of their very first trip together as a couple (making it an extra sweet choice) There are over 500 miles of trails in Shenandoah, and countless overlooks, so there are plenty of locations to choose from.
The night before the session, the forecast went from sunny and beautiful to a chance of storms most of the day. Gabrielle and Cody said they didn’t mind a little rain, so we decided to move forward. The weather was beautiful all day, until I started the drive from my campsite to the shoot, and it started raining. It rained until I arrived at the location I had scouted, and then it just stopped. The sun even peeked out a bit. It was perfect. We had a so much fun during this shoot, and were all thankful to be in such a beautiful location on a gorgeous evening.
We hugged, and I headed back to my campsite. I cooked some dinner over a fire, retired to my tent, and then it started POURING (and continued to pour all night long) I have to say we could not have timed that shoot more perfectly.
