Adventure Session in Seattle, Washington

When you are talking to a couple about their Adventure Session in Seattle Washington, and they ask “How adventurous are you feeling? Would you be interested in an overnight backpacking trip with some elevation”, you know you have found your dream couple.

Seattle Elopement

The couple got married last year. They had their elopement at the peak of a mountain they had just climbed, and although their day sounded magical, they only had some iphone photos that their witnesses took to document it. This shoot gave us a chance to try to make some epic images that truly captured their love for one another….because they really have a special love.

Hiking Evergreen Mountain Lookout

Anissa and Shannon both have a love of rock climbing and mountaineering, and had climbed countless summits together. So unlike many of my couples they had an solid vision of the trail they wanted to tackle for the session. On a Friday afternoon, we drove out of Seattle, Washington, and climbed to the top of the Evergreen Mountain Lookout The summit is 5,587 in height. Although the trail is only 2.6 miles (out and back) it is considered strenuous. There is a 1300+ elevation gain in a little over a mile. We made our way to the top, eating some wild blueberries along the way. Once at the top of the summit we pitched our tents, and heated up some leftover Indian food we had packed. Anissa also packed each of us a can of wine, which we drank while enjoying the view as the sun set. It was heaven.

Sunrise Adventure Session

We set an aggressively early alarm (worth it!), and woke up well before the sun. We were all so excited to be there. To be surrounded by the beauty of the mountains, and the peacefulness of the morning. Being up above the clouds, made for the most unbelievable sunrise. I feel so lucky that I got to be a part of this Adventure Session. Witnessing Anissa and Shannon’s was pure magic. The whole day still feels like a dream.
